Summer Time

Okay, it has been WAY too long since I have blogged.  We have had a very busy, FUN summer so far...just the way we like it. :)  Here are a few thing that we have been up to...

 Lots of swimming!

Making and eating fun breakfasts. :)

On this particular morning, Ella was eating her waffle and said to me, "This looks like Noah's Ark!"  Love it!

Enjoying the Harbor as a family...

Meeting cousins at Bahama Bucks!

Going to camp...

Finding "bug friends" as Ella like to call them in our flower beds...
She sat and talked to this thing for forever one day. for some reason, she loves bugs!

Blowing bubbles...

AND visiting my sweet grandparents.  The girls just love going to Nanny and Papaws house! :)

There has also been lots of crafting, coloring, playing, and just plain being lazy.
Awwww, sweet summer time!
Next up, {when I take the time} a post about our vacation to Gulf Shores and Father's Day!

Play Day at Weekday School 2011

Ella Grace had a play day a few days before weekday school was out. They had so many fun things for the kids to do outside that day.  It started with a ventriloquist, then tons of outdoor events, followed by a bounce house and popsicles.

Ella loved her teacher, Ms. Misty!
Emerson even spotted her little friend, Gracyn, on the sidelines. :)

Aunt Mel and Uncle Jo-Jo

My little sister recently married one of our closest friends.  We could not be happier to now call him our bro-in-law, and the girls have ALWAYS known him as their uncle. :)  To celebrate this happy occasion, Joey's parents threw an awesome wedding party for them at their beautiful home last weekend.  They live on many acres on a lake, have huge longhorns roaming the land, and also a small tank for fishing.  Ella Grace could not have been any more excited for her daddy to teach her how to catch a fish!

Zach giving the toast...

This was one of their "pet" longhorns.  He was waiting to be mounted on the wall!

Ella's first time fishing!  She LOVED it.

Thirty

Well, the day finally came {yesterday} when I turned the big 3-0.  I have always heard people talk about dreading this age, or even being a bit depressed, but it was really no big deal to me.  My husband was a different story.  He moped around for nearly 6 weeks prior to his birthday.  ;)

Why so easy for me you may ask?  I, without a doubt, feel like I can look back on my life thus far and say that I have no regrets or "should haves".  There have been wonderful travels in my past, I have an amazing husband, 2 beautiful girls, a home that we love, and a family with a bond like no other.

I am proud of my first 30 years of life.

Bring on the next. :)

Zach and me before dinner at my new favorite, Al Biernats.
{If you haven't been, and want a nice dinner out, I highly suggest it. :) }

While we were away, the girls spent the evening with my mom, Honey. :)Thanks, mom!

I had to share these cute pics my mom took at the park...

Have a great Friday!  Enjoy the weekend. :)

Ella is 3!

This year for Ella Grace's 3rd birthday we decided to have a joint party with her cousin Clayton.  {They share a birthday a year apart} Both love Mickey Mouse club house, so we went with a Mickey/Minnie theme for the party.  It turned out super cute and the kids had a blast.  This was probably the first of many shared parties for these sweet cousins!

 So much fun!!!

New Blog!

Hello friends!

It has been a while since I have last blogged, so when I decided to start back up I also decided that our family blog needed a change. Since I have two little girls, the name 'Ponytails and Polish' just seemed most fitting.  :)

I am hoping to use this to document the lives of my babies, my family, and my life.  With that said, it will be a whole lot of randomness all in one! :)  From our daily lives, to some of my favorite yummy recipes.

Thanks to those of you who I know for reading, and WELCOME if you are a new reader! :) :)

I will now leave you with a few pictures of my sweet girls...

Here is Ella Grace on her 3rd birthday...a post to follow soon!
And this is Miss Emerson who turned 1 this past January...a post to follow soon as well!

Have a good rest of the day!!!
